- 2.0 CHARTER and LEGAL

Philip Vaughan advised that it would
cost in the order of $500.00 for the FFEUC-Aust to become an
incorporated body. For incorporation we require a Charter (Done),
register of members (Done) and objectives statement. Philip has
provided the details of the requirements of the rules of
association. These are to be included in the Charter. JAR provided
an electronic copy of the Charter to PV. PV to circulate the
objectives statement.

- 3.0 FUNDING

JAR stated that Woodside Energy Ltd
has funded the joining of the FF in the USA and also $2000
sponsorship of the FFEUC-Aust. It was stressed that the EUC is
looking for a similar level of support from all companies on the
committee. JAR has issued a draft generic business case and letter
for both suppliers and end users. DT is to contact these companies
for contributions highlighting that they are likely to be advised by
their principals of support for FF.

advised that a request for FFAEUC funding from WMC has been
requested.

- 4.0 PORTABLE WORKING DISPLAY
-
Draft specification for the portable
display prepared by Duncan Turner and Reg Parker. Meeting held by
RP/DT with Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Meeting to be arranged
with JAR on 9.12.99 to finalise specification. Target for completion
is the end of February 2000. Lap Top PC may be donated by Western
Mining Corporation. ACTION: RP/DT by 9th Dec

EQUIPMENT

It was agreed that any equipment
donated by suppliers would be on permanent loan to the EUC. The
portable working display will be available to any company which
loans equipment. A code of practice is to be drawn up for the use
of the display. Other than FF specifications no other specification
details will be permitted on the equipment.

Suppliers of
loaned equipment need to be advised on an urgent basis that the
equipment is required by the 31st January 2000.

PV search for approved or planned
Variable Speed Drive FF interface has proved fruitless with many
suppliers not even being aware of the existence of FF. Most stated
that they had a modbus or other proprietary bus system.

Newsletter, new issue sent to all
members. Call for papers added. Next issue to be worked

- WEBPAGE ON MAIN FF SITE: JAR has
forwarded information for the FF website AUEC pages. JAR to
investigate inclusion of a papers section, FF toolbox
section and links section on the site. MTL have some papers, to be
submitted by BT to JAR. Jonathan Ellery also may have some
papers-to revert to JAR. Digital photos of oustanding committee
members to be taken. SG provided a list of members. JAR
stated that he was disappointed that after all of our efforts to
provide input to the Foundation for an Australian satellite site in
the International section nothing had been done by the FF. Lack of
action tends to dampen enthusiasm. JAR to contact John Pittman.

- Video Meeting arranged for
December 3rd at Central Park was a success and had 29
attendees. Next Meeting to be arranged for February 4th

- 7.0 LIBRARY OF AVAILABLE FF
TOOLS
-
We are to document a library of FF
tools ie., technical documents, web sites, videos and documentation
from completed projects. JAR reported that Woodside have created a
code of practice for Foundation fieldbus which could be included in
the toolbox. JAR to address with Woodside Management. The
provision of FF instrument datasheets are also to be considered.
Investigation required into P&ID symbols for FF and a standard
practice for loop diagrams.

commitments- JAR stated that he was sorry as PV had a real
contribution to make-alternate to be sought.

- 9.0 ICEX2000- Darling Harbour
Sydney April 11th 14th 2000

- The
IICA have booked rooms on our behalf for the seminar stream running
on Monday 10th with workshops on 14th. Cost is
$3000 plus lunches. All members to advise their principals. Our
intent is to try to get as many end users as possible to present
papers as well as a representative from FF (John Pittman?). Call
for papers issued. Carlton United Breweries and Shell Malampaya and
other EU to be invited. Pending funding we will be taking up
exhibition space. Details received for this and will be forwarded to
all committee members. Possibilities were raised of having multiple
Hosts in there own company booths. A ICEX2000 FFEUC-Aust
subcommittee is being set up on an urgent basis. Lim Tiong and Rod
Love have agreed to take up positions They must be prepared to go
to the show and run the stand. Workshop trainers to be identified,
JAR to contact the FF, SIRA and IDC. Kick off meeting for
organisation committee planned for 9.12.99. Guido Kaleb to be
contacted.

stated that we have had some interest from individuals in the
Eastern States. Brad Tindell coordinating this activity. Reg
Parker also offered assistance. We really need to focus on

Champion in regards to continued interest.

It has been agreed that we will have
a seminar stream and workshops running at this event. JAR to
coordinate with NZ/Singapore/Japan etc as a regional exercise. Lim

registration of interest. Broome is now a fallback option. 3 day
event June 2001.
