This course is run as a two day seminar.
The course is run in conjunction with
the Open DeviceNet Vendors Association New Zealand Australia User Group
Inc (ODVA)
The purpose of the course is to give
the student the ability to successfully configure a DeviceNet
installation.
Study is divided between theory and
practical exercises which form an essential feature of this course.
Ideal for students with an Electrical
background.
(Please bring a calculator. Lunch is provided).
Equipment used and course content:
The software used is Netview for network configuration and Netsolver
for Soft PLC operation supplied by Cutler- Hammer Automation ( Electrical
Import Company Co Ltd NZ)
You will configure a network including some of the following
devices:

variable speed drives

operator interfaces

photo electric devices

proximity detectors
-
contactors
-
I/O interfaces.
You will be exposed to equipment from vendors including:

Allen Bradley

Cutler Hammer

Tait Control Systems

PDL

Connector systems

Working With Projects

Adding Devices to a Project

Adding Device Files

Who should attend, what are the entry requirements.

Ideal for Electrical Engineers or Electricians
-
You should have attended a DeviceNet cabling installation course or have
equivalent skills and knowledge.

You should have some previous experience in PLC programming.
-
Some experience in the use of Windows operating systems, is desirable.
