Dederick (Derrick) Heyman is an apprentice Scale Fitter and Technician he arrives into New Zealand on the 16th of July with his Fiancée to live and stay. They are very serious and committed to coming to New Zealand and settling down with his fiancé's family and very soon to be wife. Skills and Experience
- Repairs, Calibration and verification of vehicle scales (weigh bridges)
- Designing, fabricating and modifications to weigh bridges.
- Construction of civil works and installation of weigh bridges.
- Repairs, Calibration and verification of vehicle scales (weigh bridges) for road and rail use.
- Training and support of weighbridge software programmes.
- Manage workshop and oversee technicians and staff in the workshop.
- Repairs to all types mechanical and electronic scales in the workshop, and on site.
- Implementation of quality and technical manuals and procedures.
- Manage laboratory for verification and calibration of scales from 1gram to unrestricted capacity in terms of the Trade Metrology Act 1973 (Act of 1973).
- Calibration of commercial standards (trader’s mass piece) from 1g to 20kg.
- Certificates /references/ logbooks available on request.

Carl Dickason - Electrical / Automation / Instrumentation (Posted 30 March 2010)
Carl is in New Zealand based in Auckland and can meet with you ASAP. He has completed his assessment with the EWRB and has his Provisional electrical registration. Carl can make an immediate start, he is in New Zealand with his young family and will not be returning to South Africa. He is open to a role anywhere in New Zealand.
He is a trade tested Electrician with Instrumentation and Automation experience. He has experience with plant installations, maintenance, Fault finding and extensive experience in SCADA and PLC's including Allen Brdley, GE Fanuc and Siemens.

Errol Mann - Automation Engineer / Manger (Posted 25 March 2010)
Errol is currently in New Zealand and has arrived with his family, he is open to a role anywhere in New Zealand, (Currently based in Wellington).
Errol has work for an industrial Automation Company in South Africa called Lapp Kabel, they worked very closely with the likes of Siemens, ABB, Festo etc . Errol has vast knowledge and experience in the automation field from SCADA systems to network design and testing of the following, Profibus, Devicenet, Interbus and the likes.
As the Automation Manager for Lapp Kable Errol's main job function to make sure that all Mine, Process, and Manufacturing Projects were completed on time and within budget. Projects varied from automation of underground air conditioning systems (Life critical if systems fail) to complex projects were millions of dollars are lost when the plant stops due to equipment failure or poor design. All technical support and training was done by himself, and he support the sales staff by visiting and doing presentations to their clients Errol support and control all automation installations, testing and commissioning to ensuring the success of the project.

Gavin Burdon - Electrical / Mechanical / Instrumentation Technician (Posted 17 March 2010)
Gavin arrives into New Zealand on 8th April 2010 from the UK. Gavin is an electrically biased time served apprentice trained multi-skilled technician (Electronic instrument trades worker (special class)) with 14 years experience in high speed and high quality manufacturing (Food Grade closures (FMCG), plastics & automotive components). His core skills are electrical but he is more than capable with hydraulics and pneumatics.
Gavin has experience covering a wide range of skills from: PLC programming and fault finding (Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens S5 ,S7, ASI) to PPM, and has worked with a broad spectrum of equipment including:
- beam robots,
- pick & place robots,
- pc based control systems,
- vision systems,
- conveying & packaging,
- electro-static paint lines,
- automated assembly modules(turnkey),
- injection & compression moulding,
- digital, analogue & f/optic I/O,
- SCADA,
- HMI and calibration of analogue & digital transducers(linear, pressure, flow, etc) of which they have approximately 1300 items on register.
Gavin was also responsible for all on site buildings maintenance on a 5.5 acre site. Gavin is motivated, determined, confident, a versatile team player with a can do attitude, he will contribute positively wherever he applies his skills.
