Lambert Roberts - Instrumentation / Control Systems Specialist (Posted 19 June 2009)
Lambert is a time served instrumentation/control systems specialist and started his career as a technician and moved up to running projects. This incorporated meeting with clients, taking their designs and project managing the installation and commission of the systems and then training the client’s staff to maintain the system. He has worked in the mining, petrochemical and industrial sectors and on 2 occasions he was instrumental in setting up water supply control systems for a gold mine in North Africa where the mine relied on the systems to be able to pump water into the mines. He then trained staff to maintain them. He was also project manager of an energy management system for hostels for a University where he designed the system to control the heating system that removed power usage from peak times and to reduce power usage at night. His PLC and telemetry knowledge is vast and he is confident in his abilities. He has also gained SCADA experience.
